Development of an Embedded Low-Power GPU for Onboard Satellite Data Processing

This activity will investigate the feasibility of developing a low-power, high-efficiency Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) for onboard data processing in satellites. The GPU will be designed to accelerate a variety of computational tasks, in example image processing, directly in space. This will reduce the amount of data that needs to be sent back to Earth, saving bandwidth and time. The GPU will be designed for easy integration into a System-on-a-Chip (SoC) allowing for flexible and powerful onboard data analysis.
