As of today, and in order to enable cost efficient, low power and highly integrated adaptable radio solutions, only COTS RFSoC FPGA devices are available which have unknown or not guaranteed performance under radiation. Several activities have already been performed focusing on the processor and programmable logic fabric of FPGA SoCs, but there is no public information available on the A/D, D/A and corresponding analogue fabric of RFSoCs. Nevertheless, these devices are planned to be used by industry. While Large System Integrators (LSI) can afford to do a characterization on their own funding, which is currently ongoing, Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SME) need public available data to allow them to compete in the market.
