Objective

This proposal presents an eco-designed small satellite platform for LEO missions, aimed at Earth Observation, communications, and scientific applications. Developed in collaboration with a consortium of experts in satellite manufacturing, propulsion, and thermal control, the platform integrates sustainable technologies to minimize environmental impact. Key innovations include a cost-effective iodine propulsion system for efficient maneuvering and extended mission life, carbon-fiber composite structures to reduce mass and emissions, and a smart thermal control unit that enhances energy efficiency by minimizing cabling. With its flexible design, the platform supports diverse payloads and mission profiles, meeting the increasing demand for sustainable, adaptable satellite solutions. Expected to reach full technical readiness by 2030, the platform aligns with ESA's commitment to advancing responsible space operations.
